Shrimpy The Monkey

I met the kids at Independence Center Saturday.  We played, shopped and ate. I told Andrew I would get him a toy.  There aren't any toy stores for kids other than Build A Bear. Andrew has a dinosaur and now he wanted a monkey. This is the first time I watched the process. He wanted it to be a girl monkey & he picked out a purple outfit, a jacket and some bows for her hair. I was wearing purple that day and he knows that's my favorite color. The store also has little wheelchairs for the animals.  I guess that would be for kids that are disabled so they could have their special animal in a chair too! Andrew is fascinated with my wheelchair and would like his own, so this is the closest thing to it! Did he have fun!  He pushed his little monkey all around the mall until his back gave out!  People stopped and smiled and laughed at how cute it was! When it was time to go home, he took the wheelchair and folded it up before getting into the car, just as I have to.  Vicki & Farrah were calling the monkey, Shrimpy the gimp monkey!  They laughed til they cried!!
