Shopping & Movies!

Farrah is checking out her new cook book while in the Cafe Court in Columbia.

Saturday Farrah & I went to the mall. We spent alot of time in Barnes & Noble. I had my usual iced Chai Tea!!

I purchased a book that was recommended to me by a man who goes to B & N every morning. Each time I've been there, so has he! I introduced myself and we started a conversation. He's retired and this is his morning routine. Each morning he has coffee, reads the New York Times and then goes to work out. There was a book on his table that had great reviews from the New York Times and so I asked him about it. I bought it after reading a few pages. It was called The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. Another reason I like going to B & N is because one can meet so many interesting people. Later, Farrah & I went to Target to walk around. She found a cook book that interested her........ quick and easy recipes, and she's anxious to try them out.

We went to see My Life in Ruins at the theater. It was quite funny and lighthearted. The movie took place in Greece and had some breathtaking scenery. You ALWAYS have to have popcorn and pop when you go to the movies, right? Well.......we were absolutely shocked when the total came to $18.00, and that didn't include the price of our tickets!! YIKES! Next time we will definitely share the popcorn and a drink. When we arrived back home, we ordered Lasagna from Mazzios and watched a DVD, Valkyrie, starring Tom Cruise. I wasn't sure if I would like it but I did.....very much. Interesting history. Today is Sunday and Farrah is on her way back to OP. If Farrah looks a bit perturbed in the above photo, it's because she gets irritated with me for always wanting to take a photo! Sorry, Farrah.......NOT!
