YANNI IS BLIND

One of the reasons I got rid of Gabby, my lovebird, was so I could spend more time and attention to Yanni. He's been blind for two months. It's so sad to see him run into the wall and the furniture....gently, of course. Sometimes I see him at night trying to get out of my bedroom so he can go eat or use the litter box which is right across from my bedroom. It takes him forever to figure out how to get out of my room. My heart aches for him. He sits in the strangest places. I thought maybe I took too many pictures of him and that's why he's blind. The flash is so powerful and maybe I have gotten too close to him. I would never forgive myself if that was the cause. Even now when he hears me with my camera he tries to hide so I can't take his picture. He comes out alot more now and sits where I am during the day and I'm glad for that. He's eating well too and that's great!
